Genealogical Resources at the
Dayton & Montgomery County Public Library

The Genealogy Collection is located in the southeast corner on the
first floor of the Main Library at 215 E. Third Street, Dayton, Ohio.
Librarians are available at the East Reference Desk to help locate materials in
the Genealogy area.   The Genealogy Librarian is also often available.  She
is on duty in the Genealogy area on Wednesdays from 2:00 pm til 6:00 pm

Photocopies:   Most of the genealogical materials are reference only.  They connot be checked out, nor are they available for interlibrary loan.<BR>
However, a right-angle photocopies is available in the genealogical area for
making copies.  This copier must be used with genealogy materials because it
reduces the damage to book spines that can be caused by flattening books on
conventional copiers.

Correspondence:  The Library will answer correspondence, providing the
request is clearly defined. For indepth searches, please obtain a list of local
researchers from the Montgomery County Genealogical Society.
