Virus Information

Viruses are becoming an ever increasing problem for computer users. While some viruses are extremely destructive, many others are just annoying. A great number of others are just hoaxes, existing only in the imagination of the public and the press. SYMANTEC maintains a comprehensive list of viruses that DO NOT EXIST, despite rumor of their creation and distribution.

In general, e-mail messages received from other than an authoritative source are often hoaxes. We ask our clients to not blindly forward these messages without first attempting to ensure their validity.
