Email Setup for Outlook 2003

  1. In Microsoft Outlook, from the E-mail Accounts menu, select Tools.outlook2003-1

  1. On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next. outlook2003-2
  2. For your server type, select POP3 or IMAP, and then click Next.
  3. On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3/IMAP) window, enter your information as follows:

Your Name: Your first and last name.

E-mail Address: Your email address (ex. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it )

User Name: Your username, NOT your email address.

Password: Your email account password.

Incoming mail server (POP3):

Outgoing mail server (SMTP):

Click More Settings.

On the Internet E-mail Settings window, go to the Outgoing Server tab.


Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server if not already selected. Click Ok.


If you are planning on accessing your email away from your work or home, or on another computer by going to, click on the Advanced tab, and select Leave a copy of messages on the server. If you want items to be deleted from the server when you delete them in Outlook, select the option. Click Ok.

Click Next, and then Finish.
