1. The meeting was called to order at 1135 in the Fireside Room at the WP Club, by SMSgt Joe Tangherlini, with 24 people in attendance. Two first time attendees were introduced.

2. CORRESPONDENCE:

3. REPORTED:

a. Secretary: The minutes from the 6 Jun 06 GMM were reviewed and accepted.

b. Treasurer: The May report was reviewed and accepted.

c. Airman Activities Coordinator: Rebecca Amusa says there were 21 volunteers for the highway clean up on 24 Jun 06.

d. Membership: Rodney Hromada -There is currently an E1-E4 membership discount special, $16.50 for 18 months. If you need the discount forms, please contact Rodney or any Exec member. Andy Anderson has recruited 66 new members; Stacie Parsons is close behind with 62. Henry Harlow has retained 47 and Rodney has 45. Andy says we currently stand at 3,158 members, which is 700 above the next largest Chapter. He also states that this is our fourth consecutive month of positive growth.

4. OLD BUSINESS:

a. Dayton Bombers Chuck-A-Puck: We’re still waiting on the fund raising money. SMSgt Tangeherlini will follow up on the delay. (OPEN)

Yellow Springs Street Festival: Kevin Martin- Airmen Leadership School supported this event and it went very well. The next Street Festival is 14 Oct 06. (CLOSED)
Freedom’s Call Tattoo: Kevin – All time high for sales and volunteer support. Nearly $2700 given to the Chapter. (CLOSED)
Dayton Air Show: Julie Durkee is signing up volunteers to help with the beer booths that AFSA will support. The air show is 29-30 Jul 06 at the Dayton International Airport. Shifts are split from 0700-1230 and 1230-1800 both days. (OPEN)

e. USAF Marathon: Ruben - 16 Sep 06. Volunteers needed for Station #8, this year every volunteer must register online: http://tools.marathonguide.com/volunteerregistration/usafmarathon.cfm AFSA will support one relay team; interested persons need to contact Ruben. (OPEN)

f. AFSA International Convention: Andy -The Convention will be held from the 13-18 Aug 06 in Reno, Nevada. g. Standing Policies Review/Updates: Tang –They will be ready for review by the September meeting. These are due in November (OPEN).

h. Highway Clean-up: Rebecca Amusa- 21 volunteers assisted with this and completed in approximately one hour. (CLOSED)

5. NEW BUSINESS:

Unaccompanied Airman’s Picnic: Sonia Harper says she will find out what organization has the lead in this. (OPEN)
